An important subsistence campsite and great place for blueberries and salmon berries.
Traditional Knowledge:

Austin Swan Sr. remembers a little bit of his mom and dad camping down at Usak when he was very young.

Kivalina elders who know the land always tell young people not to ride Hondas at Usak, you have to walk.  They say, "If you ride Hondas there you will damage the land and the aqpiks won't grow good."  Elders have seen this happen at Tatchim Isau where young people often ride Hondas. It's important for young people to learn not to ride Hondas on top of berries.

Many people in town say Usuk is a great place for a picnic and playing games with kids, especially after the Fourth of July.
